Michaela Murdock is an associate attorney at Burkhart and Burkhart, PLLC. Michaela is licensed to practice law in Washington.
She grew up in Yelm, Washington with her parents and two sisters on a small horse farm. She is a graduate of Whitman College with a major in English Language and Literature and a minor in Political Science. At Whitman, she was an active member of the Women’s Rugby team and a carpenter in the Harper Joy Theater scene shop.
Michaela graduated from Seattle University School of Law, cum laude, where her legal writing skills led to nominations as a finalist for the Cheney/Metzger Legal Writing Scholarships and the Mark Reutlinger Excellence in Legal Writing Scholarship. She competed in a number of moot court competitions for trial and oral advocacy.
Michaela served as an extern at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Complex Prosecutions and Investigations Unit. She also served as a Rule 9 Legal Intern with a Seattle law firm, drafting memoranda and motions on many wide-ranging legal issues in areas including real estate, business, garnishment, and criminal law.
Michaela and her husband, Taylor Oswald, are food and wine enthusiasts, and Michaela enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and painting.
